Puyo Puyo Tsuu...on your android device?
Dec. 24th, 2024 04:39 pmToday, while I was mindlessly watching YouTube videos, I came across a video by Suzuran Library (a group that archives the roms/apks of Puyo Puyo/Madou Monogatari games) that released only 3 weeks ago. And to my surprise, it was a playthrough of an Puyo Puyo Tsuu android port.
To be fair, Puyo Puyo Tsuu was a huge success in Japan. It got ported to ever console ever, you could probably play it on your Samsung Smartfridge if you really wanted to! This was a bit weird because I thought I had seen it all when it came to this game's ports. But hey, more puyo trivia to bring up to my friends!
The Android version of the game seems to just be a port of Tsuu that was released on the Sega Saturn,even reusing music! It does have some original music, though. When you beat easy mode, a MIDI rendition of Shakunetsu no Fire Dance plays. Even though there's nothing special about this version of the game, I still find myself fascinated by it. Might even download the apk and play it for myself!
