So, when I posted my little year in review entry, I didn't go into a lot of detail on what I did on new years eve, so I'm going to do it now!
So I spent my morning (im)patiently waiting for my friend's mom to drop her off. They ended up forgetting my address so her mom had to call my mom and go "hey where do you guys live again". They made it to my house eventually, and when my friend got out the car I gave her the biggest hug (or well the biggest hug I could give without her spilling the sprite that her mom bought).
We then got in my dad's car and drove to the movie theater. I was the one to buy the tickets, while my friend bought the snacks. And dear god those tickets prices were insane. $38 USD for two tickets? Seriously??? When were dropping my friend off my mom said "Oh when me and your father were younger, tickets only costed $5" don't flex on me like that.
Despite the theater having a no outside food policy, they let my friend bring her sprite in, for some reason.

We then dropped my friend off at her house, but her mom wanted to give me something. That thing was 3 bottles of her homemade ginger beer! I tried a bit of it when I got home, and while it tasted good, the aftertaste makes it so I can only talk little sips.
TL;DR, I had fun and I'm really hyped for Sonic 4
